So I'm creating a blog... like it's 20 years ago.

Greetings friends,
It has come to my attention that my policy of only posting important things going on my life on Facebook seems to not be the best policy for keeping loved ones up to date. Besides the fact I have several friends and family who do not use Facebook at all, the prioritization and setup of the feeds are hit or miss to whether you would actually see my content, if you wanted to.

To address this issue I've decided to make a very simple blog to house some recent events and hopefully some future events for anyone who would like to see them.

What to expect:
- Updates on my life hopefully including pictures and fun info.

What to not expect:
- Political rants
- Nice formatting
- Pyramid schemes
- Guaranteed frequency of posts

Now that we all have our expectations set, enjoy the stories.

So many going away parties.

*Backdated post

Nothing makes you feel loved like 10 parties to remind you that you're leaving. I think they were secretly trying to guilt me into staying... Just the parties I can remember were:

Night out in Old Town then off to Kim and Brent's
Board Game Day at Jonathan's
Big family BBQ with brats
Small family dinner with a steak as big as my face
Several small group outings

This one comes from the big family thing.

Seattle visit 7/9-7-12

*Backdated post brought in from Facebook and merged from several quick posts

Headed off to Seattle to start looking at the city and figuring out where we are going to live. And here's what happened:

7/9

This is starting to seem serious.

Lunch: Sampling the local culture via fried food at Alki Spud Fish and Chips

Dinner: amazing clam chowder, awesome view. I mean, this could be fine.

7/11
Found this at the local drug store today... you don't see that in Colorado.

In the end, we only actually toured a couple places but we got to run around the new area and explore the landmarks. We were not that much closer to finding a place to live but we had fun and we needed the break after ADP was done and the shock of moving across the country had hit.

Brittany and I are so blessed to have an awesome new opportunity! After 8 1/2 years at ADP it's time to start a new adventure. New adventure includes moving away from our first home after just over 5 years of marriage. We are off to Seattle with 2 dogs, a cat, and a bunch of stuff we've compiled over the years. The timing is pretty quick. I'll be starting work in Seattle toward the end of the month so we are doing some purging of stuff pretty much immediately. Keep an eye out in case we post for something you might want!
